things/ tips should be taken care of for increasing the life of the
jewellery and protecting it from any kind of deterioration in terms of
quality, color, chipping etc.Caring tips will vary depending on the kind of materials being used to manufacture the jewellery. Some of the common tips are:
- Jewellery pieces should be put on last and taken off first when dressing
- Jewellery pieces should be stored in a cool and dry place
- Jewellery pieces should also be stored separately to avoid scratching
- Jewellery pieces should be prevented from coming in contact with chemicals,including perfume, hair spray, deodorant, household cleaning fluids
- Jewellery pieces should not be treated with abrasive cleaners
- Jewellery pieces should be cleaned with a soft cloth or mild detergent with water and the dried with a soft cloth
- Silver jewellery pieces should be kept in cotton pads to prevent them from oxidising or fading of color
- Jewellery pieces should have minimum water exposure
