bindi is a popularly embraced forehead decoration, worn by women mostly
in South and Southeast Asia, especially India. The word 'Bindi' means a
dot in Hindi. Women have historically been wearing a bindi on their
forehead.The traditional bindi was made with red sindoor powder, and connoted the married status of a woman, but in the modern times, bindi has become a popular fashion accessory. Stick-on designer bindis are very popular these days and are made of different materials.
